Install the skill
Install with skills.sh
You need Node.js 22.20 or later. Run this in your terminal to add the GovCon MCP skill, then choose Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another supported agent in the installer.

Download and unzip the package, then add the govcon-mcp folder to your client's Agent Skills location or use its skill import flow. Keep the references folder next to SKILL.md; the playbooks are part of the skill.
Then connect GovCon MCP and sign in with G2X. Installing the skill adds instructions for your agent; it does not connect your account or change your permissions. Skill support varies by client.

Plan who to meet and what to ask at industry days and conferences. Use event search and calendar actions only when your connection offers them.
Save work in G2X
Your agent checks for a supported G2X destination before drafting, then saves and reads back the result when those actions are available. Otherwise, it keeps the complete draft for you.
Switch to G2X
Start with the tools and routines you already rely on. The agent finds the G2X equivalent and works through it with you.

Handle sign-in problems, missing capabilities and interrupted tasks.
How the skill keeps your agent honest.
The skill keeps facts separate from assumptions, holds on to citations, and asks which record you mean when the target is ambiguous. It makes only the account changes you request and checks an uncertain outcome before retrying.
Playbooks guide the work; they do not add tools to your connection. Your agent checks which document, event and account actions are available before using them. Your G2X account permissions still apply.
