g2x_search_records

What it does

Searches one G2X dataset — contract awards, IDVs, subawards, OTAs, contract vehicles, protests (COFC/GAO/SBA dockets), forecasts, grants, notices, agencies, NAICS/PSC — and returns bounded rows with G2X record links, result totals, and coverage notes. Rows fit the user's company only when the session is calibrated and its NAICS, agency or set-aside filters are passed. Each notice lists its G2X page and SAM.gov page links where they exist; show those links with the notice.

Inputs

  • dataset (text, required): Which catalog to search. Awards include contracts, IDVs, subawards and OTAs; protests include COFC, GAO and SBA case dockets; vehicles include contract-vehicle programs such as GWACs and BPAs. Allowed values: opportunities, contracts, idvs, vehicles, protests, forecasts, grants, subawards, otas, entities, notices, agencies, naics, psc.
  • query (text, optional): Free-text search; for contracts an exact PIID resolves directly.
  • filters (object, optional): Dataset filter object, e.g. {"naics": "541511", "fiscal_year": 2025}. Opportunities take naics, psc, notice_type (SAM code or label; "rfi" means Sources Sought and Special Notices), agency_code (an agency abbreviation such as VA, DHS or DOD, or its code), office_code, solicitation_number, set_aside, active (false for expired), posted_after, posted_before, response_deadline_after, response_deadline_before (YYYY-MM-DD) and fiscal_year (the fiscal year a notice was posted; one year or consecutive years). Unknown or invalid filters are rejected with the keys the dataset takes.
  • page_size (whole number, optional): Default: 10.
  • cursor (text, optional): Opaque continuation from a previous call; re-supply the same dataset, query, and filters with it.

What it returns

Rows of records, each with a title, key facts and a link to its G2X record where one exists, plus notes on what the answer covers. A long list gives a cursor for the next page.
