Search the supply catalog

What it does

Finds NSNs by item name, by part number, or by a supplier's CAGE code. Give exactly one. Items are in stock-number order. An item-name search can be narrowed to one 4-digit federal supply class. A CAGE search returns the supplier, its catalog item total when known, and next_cursor when another page exists; pass it as cursor with the same CAGE code to continue. Item-name and part-number searches have no total or cursor; narrow the search when more match. A part-number search lists each NSN once, with its catalog references (part-number holders in the catalog, not approved sources) under it. Each NSN links to G2X's DIBBS opportunity search for it. Inputs

• item_name (text, optional): Item name words, every one must appear, e.g. "cartridge carbon dioxide".
• part_number (text, optional): A part number; letters and digits are compared, so dashes and spaces do not matter.
• cage (text, optional): A supplier's five-character CAGE code, to list its catalog items.
• cursor (text, optional): For CAGE searches only: pass next_cursor to read the next page.
• federal_supply_class (text, optional): Narrows an item-name search to one 4-digit federal supply class.
• limit (whole number, optional): Default: 10.

What it returns

Rows of records, each with a title, key facts and a link to its G2X record where one exists, plus notes on what the answer covers. A long list gives a cursor for the next page.
